For 19 cents you can donate a pizza to a child in need in South Florida.
On the 19th every month through December, we’re offering our pizza customers the option of ordering a second pizza that will be donated to a child in need. That donation costs you just 19 cents. Share Your Heart, a nonprofit that fights child hunger, will deliver you donated pizza to a child in our community.
The organization will pick up and deliver fresh pizzas to children they serve through their programs with Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
“Many children in our community eat their breakfast and lunch at school. Those might be the only meals they have during the day,” said Piola Owner Stefano Carniato. “With public schools closed, it means there are children that aren’t eating as often or as healthy as in past school years.”
